In Brazil, in Sao Paulo, a fashion collection by world-renowned designer Fabiana Milazzo was presented, titled 'Croatia collection', inspired by Croatia, Dubrovnik and paintings by the famous Croatian artist Lena Kramaric, who has a Dubrovnik address.
The event was attended by a number of Brazilian film and TV stars, such as Pathy Dejesus, actress and model, Marina Bernardes, digital influencer, Cacá Filippini, digital influencer, as well people from the world of fashion and art and media: among other Vogue and Elle magazines. The event was also visited by Croatian Honorary Consul Oswaldo J.M da Silva while President Kolinda Grabar Kitarovic is supposed to visit the exhibition today.
Artist Lena Kramaric explained how this interesting cooperation started.
-Fabiana visited Croatia with her husband last summer, Trogir, Hvar and Dubrovnik. She was thrilled with the beauties of Croatia and in Dubrovnik, at Prijeko Palace, with my works and suggested cooperation – says Lena, who is currently getting inspired in Brazil.
‘I FELL IN LOVE WITH THE COLLECTION’
Croatia collection will surely attract much attention, since it brings some novelty into designer and art world.
-The collection combines my works and Fabiana's design with the collection pieces I do not only experience as a garment that carries my image. Thanks to Fabiana's thinking about the way I work, techniques and approaches, unique garments were created that I liked in the pictures but I was incomparably more enthusiastic and in love with them when I saw them live – Lena explaines.
This is surely a great compliment to her work that has been admired by the locals for quite some time and now will, hopefully, be well known around the world.
-In my work and development I need changes, challenges and cooperation with other artists through which my work changes, in this case transforms. I am happy to see what my work is recognized at the other end of the world and from a completely different audience. It’s a compliment, confirmation and great motivation for future – Lena says.
PROMOTION OF CROATIA AND ITS BEAUTY
This is not only a big thing for Lena Kramaric, but also for Croatia and Dubrovnik.
-Prior to the trip to Sao Paulo, I was hoping that Croatia's collection would promote Croatia in the world and, after her presentation, I realized that it really is. Only on the very day of exhibition, a great many people learned about Croatia and its beauty. A catalog that promotes both the Fabiana's collection and my works, as well as Croatia and Dubrovnik, will be received by each of the Cro collection clothing buyers in Brazil: Sao Paulo and Uberlandia, and Merlose Place in Los Angeles, where Fabiana also has a boutique – Lena commented.
It will be great to see what this artist will make next – maybe a collection inspired by Brazil?
