Therefore, this article will help you know all the ins and outs of how you can keep your device clean and functioning.
So, keep reading to know the best, effective, and easiest way to keep your device clean, working, and functioning.

Know Your Device And Understand How It Works

Before you start cleaning your device, it’s essential you know the type of device you are using.

You must know how your device functions and what you can expect from your light therapy device.

Trust me, this detailed information regarding your device will help you maintain proper beauty and pain treatments and help you maintain and care for the device.

Now, a common question that arises among light therapy users is, “What to do when all the lights of the device aren’t on?”

Honestly, at some point, you’ll notice that not all the lights in your device are on or lit. And it’s completely normal. There’s nothing to be worried about.

Take infrared as an example; you won’t see the color of this light because they are not within the visible spectrum of our eyes to see. So, just because you cannot see the light doesn’t necessarily mean it’s not working!

Still, if you face problems or have further questions, always contact your provider or customer service, as they are always available to help you out.

Don’t Keep Your Device Unnecessarily Turned On

One of the best ways to keep your device working and functioning is only to use it for a recommended period of time or only when you need to use it.

In many of these devices, it’s recommended to use the therapy only in an area for three minutes. And not more than that. Moreover, when you are using your device, make sure you keep it in a fixed place and don’t keep moving it from here and there.
Once you are done treating a particular area, move on to the next area of your body and continue with the treatment.

The moment you are done with the treatment session, make sure to turn the device off. If you keep the lights on even if you are not using it, it can indeed be a poor maintenance practice. And it can affect the durability and effectiveness of your device.

Cleaning Your Device - Ways of Doing It!

The way you clean your light therapy device will determine how long your device is going to last. Therefore, cleaning is a crucial part of keeping your device maintained and functioning.

You need to stay extra careful while cleaning your device, as a single misstep can lead to electrical problems or even short-circuit. You also need to make sure that you don’t expose the device’s lights to any sort of liquid.

For every device you buy, you’ll always find an instruction manual that clearly explains the details of how you can clean and maintain your device efficiently.

Here are the few steps that you should follow while cleaning your device -

➢ Whenever you clean your therapy box, lamp, or even face mask, make sure that you have turned off the device and unplugged the main cable.

If not, there are chances of getting an electric shock, or even a short-0circuit can occur!

➢ If you see dust or dirt on the LED lights, never use any liquid or damp cloth to wipe the dust particles off the lights.

Instead, always use an air blowing device like a blow dryer or even an air duster to clean your keyboards.

➢ When you are cleaning the exterior parts of your device, you can use a damp clean cloth to wipe off the dust particles over it. Or even better if you use alcohol pads, as it cleans the device and disinfects the device.

➢ After you are done cleaning your device, don’t immediately use it! Give time for the device to dry. You can dry it using a blower, a clean and dry towel, or even turn on your ceiling fan and let it completely dry.

Never use your light therapy device unless it’s completely dry!!!

Share Your Device With Others - Yes or No?

It’s a common confusion among users whether they should share their devices with others or not!

Honestly, it entirely depends on where you are using the device and how comfortable you are in sharing it.

As this is your device, it's entirely your call whether you would like someone else to use it or not.

For instance, if you are using an oral device, I’ll not recommend sharing this device with anyone else. The same goes if you are using a lip care device.

On the other hand, if you are using a device that concerns anti-aging or is designed to treat your face, neck, hands, backs, and chest, you can surely share it with others because it only gets in contact with the surface of your skin.

Yet, if you have any further questions, you can always contact customer service as they are always available to assist you.

I hope this article will help you know all the cleaning tips required to keep your device in a good functioning state!!
