Croatian Mountain Rescue Service – Station Dubrovnik had numerous interventions this summer, but the latest one may be the most interesting. The rescue mission included a brave team from the Dubrovnik Mountain Rescue Service and – a goat!

-The rescue action of goat that was stuck on the rocks in Zupa has been successfully completed. The goat was happily returned to her home after the members of Dubrovnik Mountain Rescue Service climbed the rock and pushed the goat into the sea, where she was greeted with the boat and safe transport to the shore. Another proof that you can count on HGSS always and everywhere – Dubrovnik Mountain Rescue Service published on their official Facebook page.

Great job guys!!!

Whether you are a tough marathon runner in search of a new challenge or recreationist going over his limits and running for pleasure, Ston Wall Marathon is the race for you! You can still apply for this unique experience that will be held in four days, on September 23rd.

You can choose your own challenge: 4 km, 15 km, or 42 km – in each of them you will find yourselves in front of the wall – and not just any, the longest fortified walls in Europe.

This unforgettable race will make you climbing on steep steps from Mali Ston to crenelated stone towers and fortresses, jumping while descending towards packed Ston roofs, at the same time enjoying the views which literally take the breath away: to the reflecting surface of the oldest European salt works, to the fertile green fields and the bluest sea on the planet.

The shortest race ends in Ston, and those more courageous will run along the slim dam between the salt works and the sea to the South, the very heel of Pelješac, into the wild realm of the Mediterranean forest and jackals. Their finish is on the way back to Ston, while marathon runners continue farther, through the fertile Ston fields to the coasts of Mali Ston bay.

Accept the challenge and run this saucy marathon with a grain of salt. You may forget the result, but you will remember Ston forever! Details are avaliable here.

According to the PwC Global Economic Crime and Fraud Survey, every other company in Croatia was a victim of economic crime last year, with the losses from 50,000 to 1 million dollars. Compared to the previous year, the rate of economic crime in Croatia (53 percent) is now twice as high – Poslovni.hr reports.

It also surpassed the world average (49 percent) and significantly surpasses the average for economic crime in Eastern European countries (47 percent). In the survey, it is reported that their experience was shared by 62 leading Croatian organizations, and it covered 7200 business participants from 123 countries.

The survey shows that economic crime in Croatia has changed. Many of the most evolved forms of this crime, such as "bribery and corruption", are now down. In 2016, one third of businesses complained about corruption, and last year only 12 percent complained about it. Theft has also increased (58 percent of business have been hit by thefts in 2016 and 30 percent in 2017), as well as frauds.

When it comes to tax frauds and misuse of information in securities trading, according to this survey, in Croatia there weren’t any in 2016, as well as the last year. It seems that economic criminals are looking for new areas where they can act.

Human resources scams, where they have been hired during recruitment and with salaries, have been completely erased due to the outflow of the workforce. However, the manipulation space in the business world is now in new areas of economic crime. Increasingly, criminal acts such as unlawful mergers and abuses of superior market positions, showing a violation of the Competition Protection Act (from zero jumped to 6 percent).

There is also an increase in deceptive business behavior, including abuses of incentives. This form of criminality jumped from zero to 33 percent! This problem is particularly serious because a quarter of businesses claim to have the biggest consequences.

At the top, as the most widespread form of economic crime and with the biggest consequences for business, are consumer scams. These are those in which clients or other entities through mortgage frauds, credit card misuses, insurance frauds, fraudulent identities and other ways are cheating business.

Even 36 percent of the organizations had the greatest damage of this type of fraud. The most common victims of fraud are technology companies, insurers, financiers and merchants.

Croatia seems to be a real piece of heaven for nudists! That's clear from the Instagram profile named ''Get naked in Croatia'', which promotes naturism in Croatia. They publish lovely photos from all over the country, Dubrovnik included, showing mostly tourists enjoying the beautiful nature – their surrodings and their bodies!

Reactions are positive and the profile seems to collect more and more followers every day. That's no surprise since naturism or nudism is becoming more popular too, which is visible on social media where the naked body is not a taboo anymore.

This Instagram profile is a great inspiration for nudists, since they can see lovely spots where they can just take their clothes off and enjoy Croatia. If you are wondering where to get naked in Dubrovnik, this might be the answer.

The police administration reminds that tomorrow, September 19th, is European Day Without a Road Death with reinforced preventive-repressive activities. In the past week in the area of Police Administration of the Dubrovnik-Neretva County there were 24 traffic accidents, of which there was one with death case, 16 with injured persons, where eight persons were heavily injured, 13 had light injuries while seven traffic accidents had material damage.
