The 71st Dubrovnik Summer Festival closed last night, August 25, in front of the Dubrovnik Cathedral, with a spectacular concert by the Croatian Radio and Television Symphony Orchestra conducted by maestro Ivo Lipanović and featuring opera stars, soprano Lana Kos and baritone Željko Lučić, and a short ceremony attended by Dubrovnik actors and musicians.

The audience was able to watch this exceptional musical event live on Croatian Radio and Television as well as Croatia Radio. The program of last night's final concert began with a performance of Ludwig van Beethoven's Overture Opera, with which this year’s festival was opened, followed by a selection of excerpts and arias from famous operas by great composers.

Actor Nikša Butijer recited an excerpt from Milan Milišić, ending with the words "God bless you, everything will pass quickly.”
