The traditional performances of the Folklore Ensemble Lindo will be held on the 71st Dubrovnik Summer Festival, on Wednesday, July 22nd and next Friday, July 31st, starting at 9.30 pm in Gradac Park.
For this year's two festival performances, Lindo has prepared a diverse and interesting program, adapted to epidemiological recommendations. The performance includes podkolo - Konavle wedding dance that is danced in a semicircle, and performed accompanied by lijerica, just like lindo dance. There will also be a dance from the island of Susak, a dance characteristic for this small island in the northern Adriatic, known for its short and colorful women's costumes and this dance exactly. After a graceful performance of old Split dances, the evening will be concluded with the always interesting bunjevacko kolo. The program is complemented by musical performances by the orchestra, vocal gruop and choir of the ensemble.
The folklore ensemble Lindo has been an indispensable part of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival program since 1967, and its traditional festival performances, which testify to and celebrate the richness of Croatia's intangible heritage, are always gladly visited by both foreign and domestic audiences. Tickets are available through the festival website www.dubrovnik-festival.hr or the service www.ulaznice.hr and at the box office in the Festival Palace (Od Sigurate 1).
The Dubrovnik Summer Festival has adjusted its business to the recommendations of the Croatian Institute of Public Health for the prevention of COVID-19 disease, and the audience is asked to adhere to them.
