Written by  Mar 03, 2020

The Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra has prepared an interesting program for a concert to be held this Friday, the 6th of March.

The orchestra will be directed by Pavle Zajcev, and the program includes works by Luka Sorkočević, Sergei Prokofiev and Ivo Lhotka Kalinski. The concert will be held in Slanica (Revelin) starting at 8 pm.

The orchestra will first perform Sorkočević's Symphony no. 2 in G major followed by Lhotka Kalinski's Old Dalmatian Dances. Luka Sorkočević and Ivo Lhotka Kalinski are Croatian composers whose works the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra endeavours to regularly incorporate into their concert programs with the aim of promoting Croatian musical heritage and promoting it among new generations.

The Orchestra will then perform the Prokofiev Symphony Fairytale Petar and the Wolf, through which the narrator Sebastijan Vukosavić will lead the audience.
