The second edition of the Stradun Classic Festival will start tonight at the atrium of the Rector's Palace.The Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra will be conducted by one of Asia's most wanted conductors, Darrell Ang, and will feature soloists: Croatian mezzo-soprano Renata Pokupic and English-Dutch violinist Daniel Rowland. On the program is the world premiere of Ludomil Rogowski's "Bucolique" Violin Concerto, a selection of Biblical songs by Antonín Dvořák, "Idyll" by Blagoje Bersa and Papandopoulo's "Hommage à Sorkocevic. The concert starts at 9pm.

Violinist Daniel Rowland appears on the international scene as a very versatile, charismatic and adventurous performer. From 2007 to May 2019, Daniel was the first violin of the famous Brodsky Quartet. As a soloist, he has performed all over the world in renowned venues such as Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, Carnegie Hall in New York, the Royal Albert Hall in London, Glinka Hall in St. Petersburg, Symphony Hall in Birmingham and many others. This passionate chamber music lover has collaborated with distinguished musicians such as Ivry Gitlis, Polina Leschenko, Heinz Holliger, Dawn Upshaw, Alexander Lonquich, Priya Mitchell, Marcelo Nisinman, Michael Collins, Tunde Jegede, Nicolas Daniel.
