The exhibition 'The Beauty of Taiwan' will open in the Lazareti Complex, in the third hall tonight, September 24th, at 7 pm.
The rich history of Taiwan and its natural beauty served as the inspiration for an exhibition presenting fourteen professional fine artists of this far-off country, who in their work blend scenes from the landscape and life of people typical of Taiwan with techniques and fine arts of Western art, in that way connecting the two geographically distant cultures. The exhibition will be opened by Taiwanese curator and major promoter of Taiwanese art around the world, Mr. Juan Su. He envisioned this traveling exhibition as a way of getting to know different artistic traditions, establishing cultural and creative connections and meeting Taiwan with other countries in the world.
The works are mostly made in the technique of oil and acrylic on canvas, while the themes and motifs show the artistic vision of different aspects of life in Taiwan.
The exhibition will be open until September 27th, every day from 11am to 7pm. The entrance is free.
