The exhibition "Mirko Ilic - The second before the catastrophe: Comic, Illustration and Design" curated by Dejan Krsic and Marko Golub, which opens in Lazareti on Saturday, August 17th, at 10 pm will show why Mirko Ilic is still one of the most interesting graphic designers and political illustrators, and why he enjoys global star status, even after four decades of creation.
As part of the Lazareti - the creative district of Dubrovnik project, in addition to illustrations, comic books and posters from different stages of Ilic's career, the audience will also enjoy other aspects of Ilic's professional work as an initiator, curator and researcher.
Thanks to one of Ilic’s "curatorial" research work, the entire City will become an exhibition space for a few months. To explain – thanks to Ilic, the Tolerance Poster Show, consisting of 132 posters, is coming to Dubrovnik, mostly by global design icons such as Milton Glaser of the cult logo I ♥ NY, Seymour Chwast, Peter Bankov, Gunter Rambow, Niklaus Troxler and many others.
The opening of this exhibition is also in Lazareti on Wednesday, August 14th at 8 pm and the posters will be projected on Emin's house in Lazareti, in addition to being displayed in one of the Lazareti halls, and will be available to all Dubrovnik locals and visitors on public transport buses.
