The closing ceremony of the 12th International Opera Arias Festival "Tino Pattiera" will take place on Friday, July 5th, at the Rector's Palace. For the grand finale, the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra and conductor Marc Tardue are preparing a gala concert dedicated to the greatest genius of Italian opera Giuseppe Verdi. The start of the concert is at 9.30 pm.
The Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra will be joined by four top soloists on the stage: the Polish soprano Katarzyna Holysz, Dubrovnik mezzo-soprano Dubravka Separovic Musovic, Portuguese tenor Paulo Ferreira and Turkish baritone Melih Tepretmez. The program will include the entire musical career of Giuseppe Verdi: from "Nabucco" via "La Traviata" and "Trubadur" to the most beautiful fragments from his "Don Carlos" epic and lyric drama - a musical event that shouldn’t be missed.
This concert will conclude the 12th edition of the festival organized in honor of the famous tenor from Cavtat, Tino Pattiera, which this year included numerous domestic and foreign performers such as conductor Ivan Josip Skender, soprano Nikolina Pinko, tenor Domagoj Dorotic, baritone Matija Meic, hornist Toni Kursar, violinist Dana Kahriman and pianist Stefani Grbic. The festival was supported by the City of Dubrovnik, the Dubrovnik Tourist Board and the Dubrovnik Sun Gardens.
