On the 129th anniversary of the birth of the great opera singer, Tino Pattiera, the festival that bears his name was presented yesterday. This International Opera Aria festival will be held for the 12th time in Dubrovnik and the program was presented yesterday. The festival is a joint project from the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, the City of Dubrovnik, the Dubrovnik Tourist Board and the Dubrovnik Sun Gardens.
The Director of the Dubrovnik Tourist Board, Romana Vlasic, called the festival a true musical treat and congratulated the Dubrovnik Orchestra for such an impressive program. The 12th Tino Paterria festival opens today with a concert in the Rectors Palace starting at 9.30.
Tonight’s opening features Croatian and Italian Arias. The festival is named after and organized in the memory of the world famous tenor Tino Pattiera, born on 27 June 1890 in Cavtat. The rich program of this year’s festivals continues until the 5 of July.
