International Museum Day to be marked at MOMA Dubrovnik

International Museum Day was established in 1977 by the International Council of Museums, and since then on May 18th, it has been celebrated every year in more than 35 thousand museums. This year's theme is: Museums as Cultural Hubs: The future of tradition.

As part of the celebration of the International Museum Day, the Museum of Modern Art (MOMA) Dubrovnik prepared an interesting program for people of all ages on Saturday, May 18th.

In the MOMA Dubrovnik program starts at 10 am with a free art workshop for children related to the theme Museums as Cultural Hubs: The future of tradition, led by academic painter Ivana Miloglav Ivankovic. In the Gallery Dulcic Masle Pulitika, within their traditional program Saturday Coffee in the Gallery, starting at 10 am, a professional guidance is organized through the newly opened exhibition by Kristina Restovic "Tourists’’

In addition to the prepared programs, visitors will also be able to see the current exhibitions. At the MOMA Dubrovnik there is an exhibition by Zlatan Vehabovic "In the lead sky", as well as the permanent exhibition featuring selected works from the rich collection of the Museum of Modern Art. In the Dulcic Masle Pulitika Gallery there is an exhibition ‘Tourists’ by Kristina Restovic, and at the Atelier Pulitika a permanent exhibition with the selection of works by Duro Pulitika from MOMA Dubrovnik collection.

The entrance to all three exhibition venues of the Museum of Modern Art will be free of charge, and MOMA publications, posters and MOMA canvas bags will be sold at with 30 percent discount.
