Valentine's Day at the Marin Drzic Theater will be celebrated this year traditionally with the performance of the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra (DSO). On February 14th at 8 pm, DSO will play with special performance of the music diva Radojka Sverko, vocalist Nevio Koncic and pianist Vladimir Babin. The concert will be conducted by Marc Tardue, with who the Dubrovnik orchestra and artists have already achieved successful cooperation.
Radojka Sverko is a singer of an amazing volume and color of voice and remarkable performances at numerous festivals in the country and around the world. Together with the DSO at the Marin Drzic Theater, she will perform a series of enchanting music tracks and beautify a day of love.
In a series of acknowledgments and outstanding musical contributions during her long-term career, Radojka Sverko won the The Most Outstanding Performance in 1970 at the Rio de Janeiro Festival, becoming the first artist to win this award after the famous Janis Joplin. She also won the awards in Tokyo, Los Angeles, Madrid, Seoul, Athens, Puerto Rico, Caracas, Curacao, Bratislava, Florence, Palma de Mallorca, etc. At these festivals, among others, she won David Bowie and Natalie Cole, who also competed in the competition. Over the last few weeks, she’s been at the top of Croatian top charts with the album "As Time Goes By (Live at Jazz.hr)".
