Spectacular Dubrovnik Christmas Concert to be held on Saturday

Dubrovnik has turned into a magical place decorated with thousands of lamps, filled with holiday spirit, song and joy. The city of Dubrovnik, the Dubrovnik Tourist Board and the Dubrovnik Summer Festival in cooperation with cultural institutions and public companies have prepared a colorful cultural, entertainment, gastronomic and music program for all visitors. A special holiday atmosphere and a true musical magic on the 5th Dubrovnik Winter Festival will be provided by the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, which will perform on the Dubrovnik Christmas Concert at the Valamar Lacroma Dubrovnik Hotel on Saturday, December 22nd, starting at 8 pm.

Last year, Dubrovnik audience had the chance to meet Marc Tardue, a prominent American conductor of Italian-French roots, who is a chief conductor at the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra since October, and during his career was awarded with numerous prestigious awards such as the 'Swiss Prize' in Geneva, 'Medalha but Mérito Cultural 'of the Portuguese Ministry of Culture and the title of' Chevalier des Arts et Lettres' by the French Government for outstanding artistic accomplishments. Maestro Tardue will also perform at this year's Dubrovnik Christmas Concert, which will bring the most beautiful choices of Christmas and popular music, opera arias, and the songs for the vocal groups.

The Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra will be joined by the leading Croatian tenor Domagoj Dorotic, the prominent Croatian soprano Martina Zadro and the young soprano Sara Zuvela in the most beautiful Christmas music story. Also, the award-winning Dubrovnik jazz singer Maja Grgic, the splendid Vedran Ljubenko and Doris Kosovic, vocal group Kase and the female vocal group FA Lindo will perform.

The program that the orchestra and performers prepared is various and rich, and some of the works that the Dubrovnik audience will hear on this occasion are Ave Maria, White Christmas, Santa Baby, Christmas in the City, Kolenda, White Christmas and many traditional Christmas songs .

The purchase of tickets is also possible online through the service of ulazniced.hr and on the day of the concert, on Saturday, 22 December, tickets will be available at the place of the concert two hours before the start of the performance.
