The next concert on the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra (DSO) program will be held on Friday, May 18th, at the atrium of MOMA Dubrovnik. The orchestra will be conducted by South Korean TaeJung Lee, while the young violinist Luka Ljubas will perform as the soloist. He is the last year's winner of the International Violin Competition Vaclav Huml. The start of the concert is at 9 pm.
World-known conductor Zubin Mehta for the South Korean conductor said, "TaeJung Lee is a talented and excellent conductor of immense skills and extraordinary musicality!". Dubrovnik audience got the chance to check that out on the concert that was held two years ago.

After graduating at Seoul, he moved to Vienna where he graduated from the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna with a distinguished master Uros Lajovic, where he completed his postgraduate studies. Today, he is conducting the world's leading orchestras, and an equally successful career is foreseen for the young Ljubas.
Violinist Luka Ljubas was born in Vienna, in the Croatian - Japanese musician family. He is an artist who in 2017 was awarded as the winner of the International Violin Competition "Vaclav Huml", which is held for forty years in Zagreb. With that, he became the first Croatian violinist who won the first prize in the history of this prestigious competition. Ljubas had numerous solo performances, lihe those in Vienna Konzerthaus and concerts in Armenia, the United Arab Emirates, Italy, Slovenia and Japan.
The program consists of works of F.B. Mendelssohn: Violin concerto in E minor, op.64 and Symphony no.4 in A major, op.90 ‘Italian’.
