Concert to celebrate French composer Claude Debussy to be held in Dubrovnik

On the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the death of French composer Claude Debussy, a concert will be held on March 23rd, at the Dulcic Masle Pulitika Gallery. The concert will be held by the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra String Quartet, accompanied by the flautist Antonea Gjaja Kockovic and pianist Ivana Jelaca. The start of the concert is at 8 pm and the entrance is free.

The life and work of the great French composer Claude Debussy will be presented through an one-hour program that will, in addition to the choice from the his opus, highlight the perfection of art, characteristic of the period in which Debussy created. The program was made by the pianist Ivana Jelaca, which will include Antonea Glaja Kockovic on flute and the string quartet of the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, featuring: Dana Kahriman and Iva Vukic, violins; Simun Koncic, viola and Mihaela Culjak, cello.

The concert is realized with the support of the City of Dubrovnik as a joint project of the ‘Sve ostalo je glazba’ Association, the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra and the Art Gallery of Dubrovnik in collaboration with the French Alliance of Dubrovnik, which prepared a special surprise for this concert.
