Dubrovnik is looking forward to a big weekend with the opening of the Dubrovnik Summer Festival on Saturday. The festival will see more than 60 cultural events held over a 45-day period in and around the city and is certainly the highlight of the cultural calendar in the city.

The ceremonial opening of the 72nd Dubrovnik Summer Festival will take place on Saturday, followed by the always popular fireworks display over the Old City.

And after the traditional fireworks display a concert will be held at 10:30pm by the popular Croatian rock group Crvena jabuka in front of the St. Blaise Church. However, only people who either hold the Covid-19 digital certificate, or possess a negative Covid-19 test not older than 72 hours and have proof that they have recovered from the virus, will be allowed to enter the concert.
