After maintaining contact with audience through virtual concerts in recent months, the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra (DSO) is pleased to announce the start of a new concert season at the Rector's Palace. The first concert will take place on Friday, May 7, beginning at 9 p.m.
The string chamber ensemble will be conducted by maestro Ivan Hut, while the soloist will be Vid Veljak, cello leader of the DSO. The program includes Rossini's Sonata for strings in A major (arranged by Pavle Dešpalj) and Una Larma for cello and strings, where the audience will have the opportunity to hear soloist Vid Veljak.
In the continuation of the concert season through May, DSO will have a concert of young musicians from the Dubrovnik-Neretva County, a performance by cellist Mihaela Čuljak, collaborations with conductors such as Ivan Hut, Pavle Zajcev, Marc Tardu and Uroš Lajovic and a series of chamber music concerts and performances in the open.
