The end of the April cycle of the Stradun Classic festival, which will is held for the first time this year, will be on Wednesday, April 11th in the Franciscan Church. The renowned European musicians will play - violinist Daniel Rowland, cellist Maja Bogdanovic, contrabassist Zoran Markovic, bassoonist Pieter Nuytten, hornist Bostjan Lipovsek and clarinetist Marija Pavlovic, together with members of the Dubrovnik Symphony Orchestra, violinist Dana Kahriman and violinist Simun Koncic. The start of the concert is at 8 pm.
The chamber orchestra composed by top musicians will play R. Strauss Till Eulenspiegels Einmal Anders! Op. 28, and Schubert Octet in F major.
Some of the musicians could be heard at the earlier concerts of Stradun Classic, while some will have their first performance in Dubrovnik. Among them is Daniel Rowland, a Dutch-English violinist and a fan of chamber music, the first violin of the renowned Brodsky Quartet with which he recorded numerous CDs, and a professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London. There is also one of the world's leading cellists Maja Bogdanovic that already had a recital in Carnegie Hall, performed with leading world orchestras such as the Berlin Philharmonic, Tokyo Philharmonic and won numerous awards. Zoran Markovic, a professor at the Ljubljana Music Academy, and a professor at international summer music academies in Austria, Italy, Holland, England, Finland and Germany will perform at the concert too.
